On September 7, Yorkville institution The Coffee Mill will shutter for good. The cafe first opened in 1963 and was a longtime haunt of such famous Canadians as Margaret Atwood and Leonard Cohen, who loved the cafe's secluded patio and plates of authentic Hungarian goulash. Owner Martha von Heczey blames the relocation of TIFF and inability to draw new faces as the main reasons for closing.
