Big-name restaurants Drake One Fifty and Momofuku have banded together to launch an evening night market every Tuesday this August. The mini-market on the York Street parkette will "[offer] gourmet street food, summertime treats, and notable Canadian indie musicians performing street-side, creating a twilight oasis in the heart of Toronto's Financial District."
Tickets, $5 each, can be traded for one food or drink item. Drake's "high meets low" dishes include gremolata with crispy garlic, pizzettes with eggplant, and spice-rubbed pork shoulder slow-roasted, sliced to order, and served on house rye bread. Momofuku's steamed buns, cold tripe salad, and kimchi eggs will all be present. The Gabardine and Richmond Station will join the festivities on alternating Tuesdays.
