TIMMYS WIRE— Tim Hortons's new concept store dreams up things like coffee-flavoured beer and strawberry lager, plus a modern, streamlined new logo. Check out the details here. [CBC]
POP-UPS— The vacant space across from Mountain Equipment Co-op has turned into a " temporary agrarian idyll," aka a 500-square-foot space with a fruit stand, raised vegetable beds, and an herb garden. [TL]
EVENT PLANNING— On September 27, Evergreen Brick Works will host an urban rodeo and barbecue. 40 Canadian chefs, including Buca's Rob Gentile, will cook for the barbecue portion, and there will also be live music and lasso lessons— but no real rodo. Tickets for the fundraiser are available for either $150 or $250.
