Maple Leaf Tavern, built in 1910 across from Gerrard Square, will reopen as a gastropub later this fall. The restaurant's previous iterations include a hotel and a 1980s dive bar, but now Todd Morgan of PORT will breathe new life into the space. BlogTO reports that the menu of this forthcoming spot will not be too different from that of Pickering's The Port.
