Hippified doughnuts put the sugary treats back in the limelight but no one has benefitted more than San Remo, a west-end stalwart of the baking scene. Across the pond, Krispy Kreme has crafted the "Faberge egg of donuts" that runs $1800, filled with Dom Perignon champagne jelly, gilded with gold, and dusted with diamonds. [TS]
