BROADVIEW AND QUEEN— Real estate developer, Streetcar Developments, have purchased the New Broadview House Hotel, the four-storey Romanesque building that's been home to Jilly's strip club for decades. The developer says there is no plans to build a condo on site and cited a boutique hotel as a possibility. Perhaps we'll see an east end Drake Hotel in its place?
VICTORIA DAY— The long weekend is here and Curbed shows you the best places to catch those Victoria Day fireworks. While Ashbridge's Bay is always a sure bet, there's also some lesser known spots without the crowds. Check out the list and add any of your personal favourites in the comments section.
MISSISSAUGA— This property in Mississauga could be the hockey kids dream house. The almost $4 million four bedroom features an indoor skating rink. According to the realtor, the "very cool" parents built the rink for their hockey-loving children (they have four kids under the age of 12). Coolest parents ever!
FOREST HILL— After 40 years, the Forest Hill neighbourhood is finally about to get its first highrise rental apartment. The Heathview is promising to be a condo-style dwelling with amenities like a party room, fully-equipped health centres, and a swimming pool. Looks promising but no price list yet.
