Food Truck Operators Speak To New Bylaws

Tomorrow marks the day that the city's food truck operators hit the streets under the new (restrictive) bylaws. What do they think of them? Some they are pathetic and refuse to pay $5000 for a license, while others hold out hope. BIAs are generally petrified. Zagat Toronto polled eight food truck owners to get their thoughts. Newcomer Localista, owned by Tamara Chaikin plainly states her opinion: "The current laws do not welcome food trucks, they merely are willing to tolerate them with many conditions tacked on."
