Left Field Brewery is experiencing some left-field legality issues around selling their brew to anyone except the LCBO, The Beer Store, or licensed restaurants. Since they are a "contract brewery," one that gets larger breweries to produce their products, they're "not allowed to sell their beer at festivals and other events with 'special occasion permits.'" Co-owner Mandie Murphy says Left Field's marketing plan was to sample at events in the lead up to getting their own beer-making facilities up-and-running. As she said to CTV: "Without being able to get out there and sample all summer long -- it has me concerned."
