More details and insight are out for Smitten Kitten, Toronto's proposed cat cafe. Toronto Life reports that would-be owner Jen Morozowich is teaming up with restaurateur Jeff Jarvis, and they are eyeing Koreatown. The piece also gets into the legal aspects of the project, citing Ontario's Health Protection and Promotion Act, which "currently prohibits businesses from harboring live birds and animals in any room where food is made, prepared, processed, handled, served, stored, sold or offered for sale[.]" And blogTO says that more information about the concept won't be available until May, so check back then for more updates and details.
