Follow Friday: Pizza Week Special

Follow Friday is a series that picks one notable person or place on Twitter and Instagram, plus a blog, that should be followed for one great reason or another. Being Pizza Week, today all three picks pay tribute to the Almighty pie.

Twitter: Craig Horning Years ago, Craig Horning, a Toronto-based advertising executive, found himself out of work so he did what any like-minded aspiring chef would do: He started selling pizzas in his back alley. Named Brooklyn Alley Pizza, the ramshackle operation started as something fun for the neighbourhood but quickly gained cult status and customers flocked from all over the city to taste his Neapolitan-style pies. It was only a matter of time before the Municipal Licensing and Standards Division shut him down, but it was fun while it lasted. Follow him at @CraigHorning

Instagram: King Slice. With two locations in the cities' west end, King Slice is a family-run operation famous for enormous slices, generous calzones, and service with a huge smile. Follow them at @kingslicepizza.

Blog: The Rochester NY Pizza Blog. Remember that time Rochester tried to become besties with Toronto? Though the ferry was short-lived, it's still a short-ish drive away, so if you ever find yourself there and hungry for some pizza, you'll want to consult this blog.Check it out here.
