WINNETT AVENUE— The mini house at 229 Winnett Ave. that was recently listed for $329,000 sold in over a week for $365,000. Described by the realtor as "cute as a button with space," the one-bedroom and bathroom house is just 12.5 x 79.5 feet; sandwiched between two "normal" sized properties. It's still adorable.
CHINATOWN— El Mocambo, the legendary music venue on Spadina Avenue, is currently listed for sale with a price tag of $4 million. CBC host, Jian Ghomeshi, tweets, please don't turn the building into condos! Are you sad to see it go?
ANNEX— Lights! Camera! Action! Curbed readers spotted a camera crew filming on Brunswick Avenue near College. What big celebrities are filming in the Annex this week? Sorry to disappoint but the crew tells Curbed they are filming a new TV series called The Strain. Much of the filming took place inside a residential house at 54 Brunswick.
ON THE MARKET— There's a townhouse in the Beach (or "Beach Village") listed for $499,900 but what's lurking inside this two-bedroom property? Check out the inside and see what you think.
ST CLAIR WEST— City Councillor Josh Matlow took to Twitter to discuss a proposed mix-used 13-storey development. The councillor tweets, "St. Clair & Poplar Plains residents: 213 St. Clair W to be decided at unaccountable OMB, no settlement reached between applicant & City." What would we do without Twitter? Really.
