When you're hungry, and you're in the King West neighborhood, who you gonna call? Well pretty soon, Montecito will be an option, as Ghostbusters director and Toronto native Ivan Reitman delves into the restaurant business. Toronto Life reports that Reitman is partnering with local restaurant group Innov8 Hospitality and New York chef Jonathan Waxman, best known for his restaurant Barbuto, to open the 12,000-square-foot, 280-seat restaurant. Located next to the TIFF Bell Lightbox building, the exterior showcases some very serious photos of Reitman and Waxman, along with the words "Ivan Reitman Inspired." The restaurant's name undoubtedly comes from The Montecito Picture Company, which Reitman and his son, Jason, own. A summertime opening is expected, so do check back for more info and details.
