Fika's new brunch menu kicks off this Sunday from 10am-3pm and co-owner Nikki Leigh Mckean hopes they'll expand it to Saturday in the coming weeks. The menu is simple and clean: eggs in various formations, homemade granola, as well as the Fika Smorgasbord, a platter of meats, cheeses, pickles, and bread. Items are expected to change as more seasonal choices become available to Fika's chef, and Mckean's husband, Victor Barry. Families with babies are most welcome, and will be happy to find the changing station in the washroom. As Mckean says: "Some parents even come back to the cafe when they are out and about in Kensington, commenting on the fact that we may have the best washroom in the Market! I can say that being a new mom myself (just 4 weeks!), I'll look forward to using it as I frequent the space."
