Mr. Greek, a relatively uncelebrated Canadian chain, has found unlikely patronage in the Middle East. It all started with their first international franchise, a small food counter in a Kuwaiti mall, earlier this year. (Planning a festive party for the opening of a food mall restaurant? They did it in style.) Soon, Kuwait will have a sit-down Mr. Greek restaurant, and expansion requests are flying in from Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Dubai, India, and Russia. [Toronto Life]
