The former People's Eatery space in Chinatown is getting some new blood, as Toronto Life reveals that the team behind 416 Snack Bar plans to open a two-level offshoot of the popular restaurant. The project will be a partnership between 416 Snack Bar founders Adrian Ravinsky and David Stewart, seasoned bartender Matt See and chef Dustin Gallagher, who was an early member of the Snack Bar team. The 1,800-square-foot space will be split into two distinct dining rooms, with the downstairs being more casual and the upstairs offering " a more refined room where Gallagher can essentially do whatever he wants." The restaurant, which will carry on the name People's Eatery, should open before year's end.
