This year, carnival might come a bit earlier. Word is that Copacabana Brazilian Steakhouse's newest location, at Adelaide and Duncan, will test its operations this weekend with a soft opening. A couple nights ago, the massive restaurant held a small dinner and invited passersby in for a free tasting. When Copacabana's third location opens its doors for real, prepare to climb to the top of grilled meat mountain, amidst a sea of dancing girls in feathery headdress and random displays of capoeira.
Two years in the making, the gigantic carnivore's playground features three kitchens on three floors – and said to be unlike anything in Canada.
Update: The restaurant is holding an alcohol-free soft opening tonight.
