Tea Time

On February 18th, at the Art Gallery of Ontario, art-lovers are invited to break for tea with Diane Borsato – an artist best known for her work in performance, intervention, video, installation, and photography – as she holds a "hands-on workshop" on the world's second most popular beverage. Students will learn the history of tea's cultivation, practice proper brewing and service techniques, and taste-test a variety of teas, with snacks provided by FRANK executive chef Jeff Dueck. If it's anything like the green tea ceremony in The Karate Kid, Part II, this could be the event of the century.
