Follow Friday is a new series that picks one notable person on Twitter and Instagram, plus a blog, that should be followed for one great reason or another.

Twitter: Jabistro Modern Japanese. Sometimes amateur food porn does the trick but when the pro's step up, it's clear who's boss. If explicit shots of sushi move you, this is your jam. Follow them at @JaBistro222.
Instagram: Patrick McMurray. Coastal Canadians living in the T dot may love the bustle but nothing compares to being close to the sea. To catch a whiff of home, and so many shots of oysters, Patrick McMurray, World Champion oyster shucker, owner of Starfish Oyster Bed And Grill and The Ceili Cottage, has a feed of a feed. Follow him at @shuckerpaddy.
Blog: YYZ Gourmand. Is there a joke that starts with "A museum theorist, a banker, and a pseudo-historian walk into a bar…?" Not sure about the punchline but they probably walked in, got soused, and dreamed up a blog that became YYZ Gourmand. It's unpretentious writing that covers restaurants far-and-wide, reviews cookbooks, and stays true to their motto "Eat. Drink. Read. Travel." They also like to predict the food future. Don't tell the folks at Epic Meal Time, but apparently "kimchi is the new bacon." Check it out here.
