There's a shortage of Filipino restaurants in Canada despite the large community of Filipinos here (about 660,000). However, this may soon change. The "McDonald's of the Philippines," Jollibee, is opening its first Canadian outpost in 2015.
In Toronto, many Filipino restaurants are located at Bathurst and Wilson, otherwise known as Little Manila. And the Kultura festival at Wychwood Barns helps celebrate and promote Filipino culture and cuisine.
Some of the current Filipino restos in the city include Mayette's, Jollytops, Casa Manila, Tocino Boys and Lamesa Kitchen.
