Montreal-born wrestler and Quebec City food critic Maurice "Mad Dog" Vachon passed away today in Nebraska. He wrestled for Canada in the 1948 London Olympics, appeared in commercials for hot dogs and beer stores, and achieved notoriety with its often adjacent spoof appeal. "Anyone can be a food critic and everyone is ... I don't take the job too seriously," the beloved bon vivant once said. [-EMON-]
