REDS Midtown Launch; Canoe's Somm is Leaving

YONGE AND BLOORREDS Wine Tavern is celebrating the launch of its new Midtown outpost tonight. Though Gerrard isn't exactly "midtown," REDS has a strong clientele downtown and perhaps Bloor is as far "north" as they travel? Chef Matt Robertson will be cooking up shareable plates alongside craft beer and cocktails to appease all the guests nonetheless. [Eaterwire]

FINANCIAL DISTRICTCanoe's sommelier Will Predhomme has confirmed that December 31 will be his last day at the sky-high Oliver & Bonacini restaurant. Calling his past six years at Canoe "amazing," he doesn't say exactly what he's up to just that he looks forward to his next step. [Twitter]

YONGE AND DUNDAS— This Friday, November 22, is Elm Street's Ice, Wine & Dine festival. Taking place from 4:00 to 10:00 p.m., there will be food, drinks and entertainment plus an ice lounge and outdoor patios (hopefully heated). HILLCREST VILLAGEArtscape Wychwood Barns plays host to the first annual Canadian Artisan Tasting Fair on December 1, from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. There will be 40 vendors including fromageries, bakeries, charcuteries and craft breweries.
